Acupuncture is a natural, safe and effective treatment modality to support you during your pregnancy.

Each treatment uses acupuncture pregnancy points tailored to your individual needs and concerns.

First Trimester : Weekly acupuncture treatments until week 12 of your pregnancy. Acupuncture can help prevent miscarriage, manage nausea and vomiting, increase energy, prevent constipation and bloating, and reduce anxiety and help with sleep.

Second Trimester : Every 2-4 weeks, depending on individual needs. Acupuncture can help maintain health and prevent common pregnancy symptoms such as back pain, hip pain, cramps, stress, pelvic pain, sciatica, indigestion, insomnia.

Third Trimester
If your baby is in the breech presentation, weekly treatments starting at 32 weeks is ideal. I will teach you special techniques, which encourage your baby to turn naturally.

Acupuncture may help optimally position the baby, ripen the cervix, boost energy reserves, reduce anxiety, calm your mind, manage oedema (fluid retention), reduce high blood pressure and lessen duration of labour. You will be taught acupressure points to do at home to encourage labour.

Natural induction treatments twice a week after 40 weeks, really get things moving and help to prevent medical intervention.

Fourth Trimester
Weekly treatments at 2-4 weeks postpartum to help increase milk production, solve lactation problems, prevent baby blues/post natal depression, restore energy, support the healing process from tearing or a caesarian birth. Then monthly tune ups are ideal/

I offer support if you have suffered from a miscarriage or stillbirth; acupuncture can nourish you on an emotional, spiritual and physical level, so you feel strong, calm, balanced and more confident to hold your next pregnancy to full term.
